Mt. Jacob Cemetery

The Jewish Cemetery on Fernald Road, near 493 Essex Avenue, has been the congregational burial ground for almost a century. Despite its proximity to Route 128, Mt. Jacob Cemetery offers a serene and secluded atmosphere amidst the woodland. To reach the cemetery, take Route 128 and exit at Route 133 (Exit 14). Head west on Route 133 towards Essex for about 0.3 miles, then turn right onto Fernald Street, a dirt road. After 100 yards, you'll find the paved cemetery parking lot on the right-hand side, with the entrance marked by stone pillars at the end of the lot.
